Scarisbrick Hall Sale 16th July 1923

This beautiful house is situated on the site of the ancestral home of the Scarisbrick family, that dates back to the time of King Stephen. The present building, considered to be one of the finest examples of Victorian Gothic architecture in the country, was designed by Pugin and completed in 1867.
Its most notable feature is the 100-foot tower, which strongly resembles the well-known clock tower of the Houses of Parliament, and is visible from many miles around.

Some pic's of furniture from the Scarisbrick Hall Sale 16th July 1923 catalogues(catalougue I found in my attic),seller The Marquis De Casteja D.S.Q,M.C. They maybe interesting? What did they sell for back in 1923 and what would they be worth today?

    Post Scarisbrick Hall

Scarisbrick Hall was designed by Pugin and a later commision of his (with Barry) was designing the Houses of Parliament. It is said that he used the tower at Scarisbrick Hall as a model for the Big Ben bell tower.
Didn't the Marquis die before the hall was finished and his wife put a lot of money into St Elizabeths - Scarisbrick church?
