Few years ago I bought a box of old photographic slides from a carboot sale.In amongst them were these two of Ormskirk market,unfortunatly no date on them.
Thought they might be of interest to someone out there.

Aughton Street was pedestrianised at that spot in the lower picture in 1979/1980.
My wife recogns 1971ish.

I'll be honest that I have never really bothered to check and see if there was anything on the other slides to date them. They came with a whole load of other stuff from a house clearance probably. The owner was a driver for Ribble and lived in Liverpool and included a lot of things from his days there which I was more interested in.
There were also packets of black and white negatives from family events and holidays etc.
When I get time tonight I will check through and see what's on them!

1971 seems to be correct for the date after checking other slides in the box.
