A reader on Ormskirk.gb.com forums would like to know if other readers are able to direct them to any sites which would inform them who traded at the jeweller's shop at 28 Church Street, Ormskirk in April, 1938?



The lady in question is researching her family tree, has found a photograph of the shop in a book of old photographs of Ormskirk but the name on the door is indecipherable. She thinks it may be her paternal grandfather.

Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. Please reply on this thread.

I have rung my mother, who was born in Ormskirk.
She seems to think that the shop was called Biltons
She is going to ring her other friend for verification.
Will keep you posted on what she finds out.
