A new Burscough bakery rose to the occasion when it took part in Burscough Wharf's first birthday celebrations.
John Mercer and his wife Rebecca sold out of their tasty home made bread and pastries at the food festival on Sunday.
Said John, 26, who's opened the village's new Lancashire Bread House: "We had an amazing reception for our freshly baked breads, and sold out in around an hour and a half."
The enterprising couple from Moss Lane are now looking forward to making sure Burscough folk enjoy their daily bread - which, they say, is baked without preservatives and made fresh every day, along with other morning goods and tasty treats like croissants and Danish pastries.
John and Rebecca's debut was one of the highlights of a busy weekend which on Saturday saw tram, train and bus enthusiasts make tracks for the Wharf Arts Centre for a brilliant model railway and tram exhibition.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the displays while outside pupils from the Adam Christopher school of music entertained the crowds (above).
