Pictured at Ormskirk bus station is one of the South Lancs Travel fleet which now runs regular University services in the town.
The firm recently won a contract from Cumfybus of Southport.
SLT is locally based bus company operating an extensive network of services from the west side of Wigan, across Leigh, Horwich and parts of Bolton and as far east as the Trafford Centre.
In 12 years it's grown from two to 45 buses by offering reliable and value for money services. Its fleet is one of the most modern in the North West with an average fleet age of just 6.5 years (compared to a national average of 8.5 years) and 95% of its services are operated by fully accessible low floor buses with ample space for buggies and wheechairs.
Each driver undergoes regular training which includes practical 'on road' training in safe and fuel efficient driving, disability awareness and health and safety; every one of its buses are fitted with an on-board monitoring system to record the standard of driving.
