I went for a drive to Parbold Hill this evening whilst the Football was on.

It was delightful - barely ANY traffic on the road.... I only had to stop ONCE (for the lights at Parbold) and a few hesitates at cross roads... (No traffic in either direction so no need to stop).

Gosh, I didn't realize there were any signal box operators left!

We've been going up to Parbold a lot just lately. Probably would've bumped into you there tonight Ped, if the footie hadn't been on!

great pics ped, ive been visiting this site for along time, and just eventually registerd today. its nice to see that they still have signal box men.are there any more train stations ,like parbold and rufford that sill have an old fashiond charm about them.
