Parbold & others
The Mill at Parbold, and two duckies having a get together.

Church on the way up Parbold Hill.

The canal by the Saracen's Head. This one's from a project I'm doing on selective colouring of black & white photos.

Love the Saracen's Head pic Ski. Old stomping ground for Ashy and I, not together you understand
-
Ta Sandy! Well I can imagine you having a good old stomp at the Saracen's. I can imagine Ashy having a good old stomp there too. You sure you didn't go stomping together?!
-
I'll never tell. Sounds like a good idea for a new thread "Was Ashy Sandy's Toy Boy" ?

Thanks for the memories--I used to have a "friend" from Parbold many years ago (first name was Peter--won't tell his last name!)
I do like the selective coloring pic. I do Rubber Stamp art (greeting cards etc.) and do something similar, coloring parts of black and white pictures. Very effective.

Sandy, I think that'd be an excellent new topic for discussion! LOL!
Hey Vivra Patricia, I dabbled a bit in rubber stamp art too. Are you an arty crafty person as well then?
-
Skichic--yes I am. I teach a twice-monthly workshop on rubber stamp art. I also do other painting and artwork, and I write, too.
I studied art for a while at Southport College (way back when!) Worked at Slinn's Wallpaper and Paint Store at the time, and wanted to take up Interior Design. (Slinn's was on tulketh Street then. I know it's not there now!)

Patricia,
I write too, paint when I get the time (though not for a while), love most arty crafty things (wirework and the like), and always thought I should've chosen to do art - as did 2 of my sisters. Also really interested in interior design. We have quite a bit in common there methinks!
