Rufford man committed to Crown Court.

A Rufford man has been committed for trial at Crown Court on charges under the Sexual Offences Act and the Protection of Children Act.

Peter Audsley, 41, of Highsands Avenue, will appear before Preston Crown Court on 31st January 2011.

It is alleged that on the 30th March 2009 he caused or incited a girl aged 15 to engage in sexual activity of a non-penetrative nature by purporting to be a 14-year-old female on an internet web site in order to engage the 15-year-old in sexual conversations.

He also faces eight charges of making indecent photographs including five movie clips contrary to the Protection of Children Act 1978 and one charge of possession of indecent photographs contrary to the Criminal Justice Act.

Audsley was given conditional bail by Ormskirk Magistrates providing he lives and sleeps at his home address and has no unsupervised contact with any child under 16.
