I have bought and sold a "Ronnie Kray" art work before.

Also purchased and sold art works where it was alleged the art works were going to direct descendants of the alleged artist involved.

No other interesting stories as of late.

    How about you Vanny??

I bought a Coffee scale and a glass bottle from the Kardomah coffee shop in Dale Street Liverpool in the 1960's
I Restored the scale and sold it to a Southport Antique dealer who sold it to an American. The American sold it back to me in 1980. I resold it in approx 1983 to a lady in Atlanta Georgia. In 2004 I visited a house in Hesketh Park Southport to buy some antiques in a ladies garage. There in the corner was a scale.

YES, it was the same scale.

As I had restored it, I noticed the same irregularities about it.

The lady had bought it from me in Atlanta and had moved to Florida then to Oxford, then to Southport. I have now resold the scale to a Doctor in Harley Street.

    I still have the bottle
    Small World.

What about the antique dealer who told the lad to clear out the garage of a house he had got the job to do the house clearance at.

"all the metal and all the old engines through into the back of the truck and burn all the old wooden boats."

that was the order of the day.

many years later the antique dealer realised that the boats where not boats but motor car frames and the metal and the engines where the parts of 5 Bugatti motor cars. Restored would be worth millions of pounds.
