Indentures and old coins
Hi John,
We have been clearing out my grandfathers house and have found a bag of approx. 20 indentures from the early 1800’s, ranging from mortgages, Marriage settlements plus one 5 page indenture signed by the Lord Mayor of London and Lord Mayor of Bath. I just wondered how you can tell if these have any value.
We also discovered approx. 1500 old copper coins all dated 1797 British Georgius III DG REX, (the best coins had been sold in the 1970,s) most are in pretty dire condition they range from just about readable to unreadable again are they worth keeping for the family or should we just sell them if they are unlikely to increase in value given the very poor condition.
I have tried to add some images for you not sure if i have done it correctly.
Thanks

1797
very common year.
in fact they where made over a period of many years but always dated the same year.
probably worth more as one lot than selling one by one which would take years. I wold sell them
give me a ring 07714 32 22 52
the documents again documents like this are very common. Social history items do not bring much money at auction, but very interesting.
