Aughton, is a lively evangelical parish church situated at the

Sunday services, we have a very wide range range of activities

The
Official Mini Mad Merseyside Site

 In
1989 I saw lots of adverts for the Mini 30 Birthday party at
Silverstone. (There was no 'Miniworld magazine' back then, so
no way of Mini owners to get in touch with each other besides
the National Mini Owners Club). As Silverstone seemed so far
away I thought it would be great if I could get together with
other local owners and we could travel down together. I drew
up a flier and put it on any Minis I saw and also put a small
article in the Echo. On the Saturday I went to the meeting
point (Woodwards Formby) 16 Minis turned up!! We traveled in
convoy and stopped at a campsite where hundreds of Mini owners
had set up camp. The show was great, 100,000 people !!! and it
got me thinking… What about a local club?? I sent out some
fliers and very soon had my first members, Mini Mad Merseyside
was born. |
